Cries And Whiskers
‘Miss Capitale’
In fact, Capitalist this year had 3 runners in the Magic Millions and The Inglis Millenium as well as Lazaggo in the Golden Slipper. If you are looking for a 2year old that will train on then Capitalist is your stallion.
The Mare was unraced however is by Street Cry, the sire of Winx no less. You can't ask for a better broodmare sire and if you look at this family's pedigree it is littered with stakes performers. There are numerous 2-year-old winners on her page and the pedigree is such that this filly will still have residual value regardless of racetrack performance. The better she performs on the track then the more valuable she becomes at the end of her career.
The trainer will be Matthew Smith located at Warwick Farm NSW. Matthew worked for the likes of Aiden O'Brien in Europe and the legend Bart Cummings before he commenced his training career in 2011. Since then, he has trained Group 1 winners Hurtyle Murtyle, Fierce Impact and Nimalee. This stable is flying training winners most weeks and you couldn't have a friendlier and more knowledgeable trainer than Matthew.
We were able to purchase this fast filly from Widden Stud at the classic sale earlier this year and are happy to offer her at a price you would expect to pay much more for a yearling by Capitalist.
Capitalist won both the Magic Millions then the Golden Slipper as a 2-year-old and has gone on to be a prolific sire of 2- and 3-year-old stakes winners and performers from just 3 racing crops.
His 11 stakes winners already include the Group 1 winner Captivant as well as horses like Profiteer (now a stallion himself), Lazaggo (winner of the Sweet Embrace and started in the golden slipper), Sovereign Fund, the exciting Queensland 2 year old Appin Girl and of course Cannonball who is off to Royal Ascot to fly the Australian Flag.
"This filly impressed with withs its powerful body and nice walk. We think she has all the potential to be a fast two year old in all the good raves...
She also has a great pedigree -The mare, Cries and Whiskers, was unraced and by the stallion Street Cry, the sire of the great Winx (cant get better than that ). She is a half sister to two stakes winners as well as another stakes placed performer. Her Breeding Page makes our filly a valuable broodmare prospect regardless of her racetrack performances."
